On Writing and Reading ......

• Society since times immemorial has continued to place high status and regard to all those who are engaged in Reading and writing and publishing. Un necessarily I (there could be lots of others as well who think this way) keep thinking that I know a lot about reading and writing. After attending Bindu Agrawals workshop (organized by Shishuvan School for Teachers) I once again realize how little I know about reading and writing. She advised participants to get engaged and immersed while reading. I we want kids to get interested in reading we need to engage them sincerely by setting an example. In this regard, what elsewhere matters a lot to the school. 
• Other take homes of the workshop  : : vocabulary has to do a lot with listening, speaking, reading and writing.
• At the age of 2 a child is familiar with 200 words and when the child is 12 years, it knows 50000 words.
• Shakespeare introduced 1700 new words.
