NEW JERSEY OPINION : Libraries prepare students for the digital world | Editorial : The New Jersey Association of School Librarians just honored Singer with its 2016 Outstanding Library Media Specialist of the Year Award, making official what Readington Middle School students and administrators have known for years.

"In general, she teaches these children to have a respect for books and what those books contain," said Readington Middle School parent Lee Eyler in her recommendation in support of Singer's nomination. "Every child she comes into contact with learns these lessons."
